The day before Arizona State

You know, it's probably a good thing that ASU and WSU aren't playing tonight. Why? Wikipedia tells me that the night before Halloween is known as "Devils's Night."

Traditionally, city youths engaged in a night of criminal behavior, which usually consisted of acts of vandalism (such as egging, soaping or waxing windows and doors, leaving rotten vegetables or flaming bags of animal feces on front porch stoops, or toilet papering trees and shrubs). These were almost exclusively acts of petty vandalism, causing little to no property damage.

Coincidence? Yeah. Almost certainly.

Go out and enjoy your night, Sun Devils. I would consider you guys to be "youths" still. So... Go crazy! Go egg houses. Go leave rotten vegetables on front porches. Go "wax windows and doors" (whatever that means). Whatever you do, just make sure you stay out late with blatant disregard for any prior commitments that you may have scheduled for tomorrow. It's your night! Live it up!

Anyway, onto the big day itself. The campus going to be kind of a mess on Thursday. President Floyd tried to curb it by canceling afternoon classes and making morning classes optional (an option that both of my professors took - Thanks guys!). But there is still more to do. The WSU News service has tried to curb some confusing by doing a write up on all the changes made and all the scheduled events. Interesting scheduled events include a Halloween carnival in Beasley Coliseum from 2-4 and a talk from Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott in the CUB Auditorium from 4-5:30 (please, don't show up drunk).
