Monday morning trivia

Fresh off the win against Arizona, WSU has a chance to add to its win total this week with Utah coming to Pullman. A win against the Utes would give WSU the six wins required to be bowl eligible. It would also give the Cougars back-to-back Pac-12 wins, something that hasn't happened recently.

Speaking of which ...

Q1: Which two teams did WSU beat the last time it won two straight conference games and when did the Cougs last accomplish the feat?

Q2: Marcus Mason caught seven passes on Saturday and now has 35 receptions on the season. Who was the last Cougar running back to catch at least 35 passes in a single season?

Due to a flight delay from an airline we shan't mention (but it rhymes with "smelt a") we unfortunately were not able to make it back to Pullman in time to catch WSU's practice. We can only hope that no major catastrophes befell the Cougars or assembled media.

Further, Washington State's win at Arizona gives the Cougars' bowl hopes a significant boost. If they can beat either Utah on Saturday or Washington in the season finale, the Cougs will go bowling for the first time since 2003.
