With no WSU football games for at least a month and possibly not until next season, the current focus is on bowls and basketball.
Saturday was a wild day around college football with some good (thanks ASU) and some not so good (are you good for anything, Boston College?). There will be plenty of speculation over the next week, with some news sprinkled in, but for the most part WSU will have to play the waiting game. Jeff will have more on the bowl picture and a timeline of how things will shake out late this morning.
Until then, there is basketball to occupy your time. The Cougar women pulled off a big upset on Saturday, going on the road to knock off No. 10 Nebraska 76-72. WSU hit a rough patch early in the season, but have played better recently, culminating with the big win.
The men's team will be back on the court early Sunday morning, taking on Saint Joseph's in the 5th/6th place game of the Old Spice Classic. The game will tip at 9 a.m. PST and be televised on ESPNU and WatchESPN.
