Men's basketball
The Cougars lost 76-62 to UCLA on Saturday and were then treated to the following headline. The sad part is it's essentially true.
This wasn't the Washington Generals that UCLA faced Saturday night -- just Washington State.
The Cougars were a day at the spa for the Bruins, a chance to work out the kinks. The 76-62 victory over the hapless Cougars at Pauley Pavilion was the sorbet between heavy courses.
It's not like we aren't used to reading similar things, it's just usually they come on Sunday mornings following a WSU football game. That can't be a good sign for the basketball program.
