Oregon State vs. WSU basketball: Game thread and TV schedule

The Beavers and the Cougars. Inappropriate jokes!

Jaime Valdez-USA TODAY Sports

Cougar combo guard Mike Ladd will not be playing as Washington State hosts the Oregon State Beavers at 7 p.m. PT Wednesday night on Pac-12 Networks. Ladd has been WSU's best player during the conference slate, and he was unstoppable against the Beavers just a few weeks ago. In that contest, the Cougars' last victory, Ladd hit 9 of 10 from the floor for 23 points.

With Ladd out the Cougars thin depth will be even further tested. Dexter Kernich-Drew will see more minutes, and he has been far from good in league play. WSU will likely send Bryce Leavitt for a longer than his usual couple of minutes to try and steal some rest for DaVonte Lacy and Royce Woolridge.

Woolridge will return to the role he had at the start of the season as the primary ballhandler. He never looked comfortable in that role, so it is certainly not ideal.

For all his wrongs, Ken Bone does have the advantage over Tony Bennett in one area: He hasn't lost to Oregon State at home with WSU. That may not be true after tonight.
