Hot Cougar Action: The day after OSU

The Cougars staged a late rally, but still lost to Oregon State on Thursday.

Men's basketball

Much like they did a few seasons ago against UCLA, the Cougars went on a three-point barrage against Oregon State on Thursday only to come up just short. The only difference is that close loss came to the No. 5 team in the country on the road, not the No. 10 team in the Pac-12 at home.

Baseball

The WSU baseball team opens its season on Friday as they try to make it back to the postseason. Donnie Marbut has a very young team this season and will be replacing a number of players from last season, so it will be interesting to see how they open the season.
