WSU vs. Arizona State basketball final score: Sun Devils take down the Cougs, 69-57

WSU basketball lost again.

USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona State Sun Devils built an early double-digit lead and maintained it for most of the second half on the way to their 20th victory of the season by taking down WSU, 69-57, on Wednesday night. ASU led by as much as 21 at one point, and the Cougs never really challenged.

WSU struggled to get much going on offense for most of the night, but it was again the defense that was an issue. ASU posted a 57 effective field goal percentage.

Arizona State point guard Jahii Carson flourished against WSU once again, this time hitting 7 of 12 for 19 points. He was helped by 21 points and eight rebounds from Carrick Felix.

Royce Woolridge was assertive once again, and did well with his opportunities. The sophomore guard hit 8 of 16 from the floor for 18 points. DaVonte Lacy had an efficient night, tallying 15 points on 5 of 9 shooting. Brock Motum continued his string of double-digit performances with 17 points.

That's seven-straight losses for Washington State. They go for No. 8 against Arizona on Saturday.
