Hot Cougar Action: Monday morning trivia

The women's basketball team lost on Sunday while the baseball team won. Neither is related to today's trivia question.

USA TODAY Sports

The current slide of the basketball team has made it a challenge to find non-depressing trivia questions, but I'll do my best. While Brock Motum may not be having quite the season some expected, he did eclipse the 500 point mark on the season. That brings us to today's questions.

Q1: Motum has two 500+ point seasons in his career, who holds the WSU record for the most seasons with at least 500 points and how many times did he do it?

Q2: Eleven different players have topped 500 points in a single season. The list includes many of the usual suspects, but a few wild cards. Name all 11 players to accomplish the feat at least once in their Cougar career.

That four-game winning streak is starting to feel like a distant memory as the Cougars lost to Utah on Sunday, their third straight loss. To make matters worse, WSU ends the regular season with games against No. 6 California and No. 4 Stanford.

Even when his team struggled mightily through the first portion of the Pac-12 schedule, Utah coach Anthony Levrets never let that deter him. Baseball:

While the basketball teams struggle, the WSU baseball team continues to rack up wins. The Cougars won two more games on Sunday, completing a four-game sweet of Eastern Michigan. The Cougars are now 5-2 on the season. WSU combined for 25 runs on Sunday, continuing their impressive offensive start to the season. A lot of young players are playing well and the true test will be if they can continue to hit into the Pac-12 portion of the schedule, but there has been a lot to like in the early going.
