Isaac Dotson, a consensus 3-star recruit and the No. 38 pro style quarterback according to 247, has faxed in his letter of intent to Washington State on National Signing Day 2013.
Dotson, who played high school football at Newport Senior High School in Bellevue, Washington, chose Washington State over offers from Eastern Washington, Montana and Nevada, among others. He initially appeared headed to Nevada, going as far as to verbally commit to the Wolfpack, but decided to open things up after a coaching change.
Dotson took an official visit to Washington State in mid January and verbaly committed while he was on the trip. He is the second quarterback in WSU's 2013 recruiting class, joining Tyler Bruggman. Dotson is an athletic quarterback who has the ability to run, giving the Cougars a dimension none of the other quarterbacks currently on the roster can match.
There is some question as to whether Dotson will wind up at quarterback in the long run. He is ranked as the No. 85 safety prospect in the country by Scout, and could potentially play defensive back or even wide receiver.
