The defensive secondary hasn't been a point of strength at Washington State over the last few seasons so Mike Leach and company looked to fix part of that problem with Daquawn Brown. The cornerback from Los Angeles' Dorsey High School has put pen to paper and faxed his letter of intent to Washington State.
Brown is listed at 5'11" by Rivals and 6' on the nose by Scout and around 170 to 185 pounds depending on what recruiting service you ask. The cornerback is rated 33rd best at his position by Rivals and 64th best by Scout but both agree he is a three star recruit. Here's a link to Kyle's evaluation of Brown here.
Brown is certainly no slouch in the offers department with Arizona State, California, Boise State, San Jose State, UCLA and Washington all offering the stand out. Ruth Robbins was apparently under the impression he'd be going to UW but, whoops.
His junior highlight tape is embedded below. Welcome to the Cougar family Daquawn!
