When you think of Mike Leach's Air Raid, you typically don't go straight to thinking of running backs. But Mike Leach's staff really liked what they saw out of Jamal Morrow and the running back from Menifee, CA has faxed in his letter of intent to Washington State. Morrow averaged just short of 10 yards per carry in his senior year and picked up over 2,000 yards on the year.
Morrow is listed at 5'8" and 180 pounds out of the back field. Both Rivals and Scout agree he's a 3-star prospect and Scout ranks him as the 84th best running back prospect in the 2013 class. Morrow committed to Washington State in mid-September and followed that up with a visit in January. He also visited California and had a scholarship offer from Utah in hand.
You can find Kyle's evaluation of him here but what Rancourt likes best is his shiftiness and ability to break tackles. His highlights are embedded below. Welcome to the Cougar family Jamal!
