WSU vs. USC: Open basketball game thread and TV schedule

The Cougs take on the Trojans in a midseason Pac-12 battle.

It's late, and I don't have a whole lot to say about this game. WSU and USC are two of the worst teams in the conference. The Cougs have a worse league record than the Trojans, yet they aren't the ones that fired their coach earlier this season. Since relieving Kevin O'Neill of his duties, USC has gone 2-3 with wins over Oregon State and UCLA.

The Bruins just beat the Huskies on a last second shot, so obviously the Trojans are much better than the Cougs by virtue of the transitive property and WSU is doomed to lose tonight.

This is one of those games where the opponent blocks a ton of shots, not a good thing for a WSU team that is quite literally the worst team in college basketball at getting its shots blocked. So that should be fun. But if they don't block the shot, the Trojans usually put the opponent on the line, so maybe that's something WSU can exploit.

Defensively, WSU's best bet is to let the Trojans turn the ball over, as they generally do.

The game is on Pac-12 Networks and tips off at 8:30 p.m. PT.
