Hot Cougar Action: Another spring football practice in the books

The 2013 quarterback competition didn't take much time to begin as it's apparently already a thing two practices into spring football.

Otto Greule Jr

Washington State went through its second practice of spring football on Saturday and afterward Mike Leach and Austin Apodaca met the media.

Starting quarterback questions have already begun which should make for a grand time from now until the season-opener against Auburn. If I learned anything from last season, it's that quarterback competitions are the worst.

Football:

In the spring roster update from a few days ago, I noted Ioane Guata's weight loss. Josh Wright of the Spokesman review wrote a profile on Guata and as it turned out, the weight loss wasn't about a position change, but instead Guata's effort to get into better shape.
