Hot Cougar Action: Baseball falls to Stanford again

WSU dropped its second straight game to Stanford on Friday. Can they salvage a game in the series finale?

The up-and-down season for the WSU baseball team continued on Friday as the Cougars lost to Stanford 9-3, officially losing their first conference home series of the year.

WSU had a number of opportunities, but struggled to capitalize. Head coach Donnie Marbut called it the "worst game we played this season."

Not exactly the thing you want to hear at the beginning of conference play.

What is former WSU assistant Rob Akey up to these days? Well, on Thursday he was back at WSU, taking in the Cougars spring football practice. I'm guessing this was the quietest he's been while on Rogers practice field in a long time.
