The Washington State Cougars face the Washington State Cougars on Saturday afternoon, with the winner to gain nothing but pride and a strong sense of self-worth. Mike Leach and his staff will be participating in their second spring game, and this year's edition has a very different feel.
There will be plenty of watch. The battle at quarterback is the most interesting. Last year Jeff Tuel was nearly perfect against the WSU defense, but it didn't really translate to the fall. Many expect the defense to be better this season, so will our observations be more relevant? Probably not, because spring football and such.
The game will be televised by Pac-12 Networks at 2 p.m. PT. This must be the first time that a Washington State practice has been broadcast nationally. Allen Iverson does not approve.
