Hot Cougar Action: Mike Leach attending Air Raid clinic

New, 2 comments

Mike Leach and Hal Mumme will be holding a coaches Air Raid clinic, which will probably be as awesome as it sounds.

James Snook-US PRESSWIRE

In Swing Your Sword Mike Leach told a story about sitting in a diner diagramming Air Raid plays on a napkin with Hal Mumme. If you ever wondered what those conversations were like, now you can find out.

Leach will join Mumme and others for an Air Raid coaches clinic in June. Coaches who sign up will get to learn the system from two of the men who know it best and all you have to do is pay $65 and be in San Antonio from June 6-8. Of course, if your're not a football coach, or don't have $65 or won't be in San Antonio, you can always check out BA's excellent Air Raid Playbook series.

You may learn just as much, although there won't be nearly as many off-topic rambling stories.

Football:

The "Air Raid Clinic" is coming to San Antonio. Clinic founder and SMU assistant football coach Hal Mumme called late Tuesday night to announce that a three-day clinic featuring Washington State head coach Mike Leach is scheduled for June 6-8 at the Menger Hotel.

Women's basketball:

It's May and the opening of this post focused on a coaches clinic, so yes women's basketball team awards make the HCA cut.
