Like the 2012 edition, the 2013 Apple Cup will be played on the day after Thanksgiving, and also like last year's game, the Apple Cup is scheduled for a 12:30 p.m. PT kickoff.
The Black Friday afternoon kickoff wasn't exactly a fan favorite a year ago, so naturally we will get to do it again. The game will be played in Seattle this year, which will make things a little easier for both school's western Washington fans, but still it's less than ideal for most.
The good news is anyone not able to make it to the game in person won't have a problem finding it on their television. The game will be broadcast nationally on FOX. That should give WSU some nice exposure, which could be good or bad depending on the level of play. With the game on FOX, there is also the chance Gus Johnson gets the call.
As far as future Apple Cups are concerned, I wouldn't expect the Black Friday games to become a trend. Under the new media rights deal, every Pac-12 team is required to play a certain number of non-Saturday games. With the two Friday Apple Cups as well as the Thursday night Halloween game, WSU is working towards meeting it's quota.
Oh, and that Halloween game? It's scheduled for a 7:30 kickoff. With afternoon classes cancelled, that could be ... something.
Here's is WSU's complete 2013 schedule with the known kickoff times and TV broadcasts.
