When early season odds were released last week, it wasn't pretty for WSU. Betting action has shifted a few of those odds and while they still aren't pretty, they are slightly better.
Sharp Football Analysis put together an updated list detailing where the odds started and where they are now. When it comes to WSU's odds, three shifted in the Cougars' favor while one moved slightly in the opposite direction. In the season opener against Auburn, WSU shifted from +11.5 to +12 as betters are apparently favoring the Tigers.
After opening at +15 against Arizona State, WSU is now +14. WSU's odds against Arizona went +19 to +17. The Apple Cup odds also shifted slightly with WSU going from +14 to +13. If the odds keep progressing at this rate WSU may actually be favored in a game by the start of the season.

Washington State comes in at No. 93 on USA Today's college football countdown | al.com
Washington State has work to do if it wants to reach the postseason for the first time in 10 years. Knocking off Auburn on Aug. 31 would be a great start for the Cougars, but that prediction doesn't appear to be rolling off many prognosticators' tongues this summer. The Cougars, coming off a 3-9 season under Mike Leach, have presented too many unanswered questions and hopes are not very high for a breakout season.
