Saturday's during the offseason haven't exactly been plentiful on news, but those days are numbered. In seven weeks WSU will be at Jordan-Hare Stadium taking on Auburn to kick of the 2013 season.
While the season opener is in sight, we still have to pass the time somehow. Today's links include some Pac-12 linebacker rankings. WSU comes in at No. 8 in the rankings from House of Sparky, which feels a little light to me, but I'm probably higher than most on WSU's linebackers (more on that later today) and there are some talented teams around the Pac-12.
Stanford check in at No. 1 yet again. At what point do we need to launch an investigation into whether Stanford is artificially creating all conference linebackers in a lab?

8. Washington State Though the Cougars limped to a 3-9 record last season, they were able to establish their team identity. On offense, the wide receivers are the definite bright spot. On defense, it's the linebackers who proved they can shoulder the load.

Ask Washington fans who they'd rather lose to, Oregon or Washington State? I'm sure the Oregon loss hurt last year. Since you're writing from Seattle, I assume you're a Washington fan -- you can't tell me the Oregon loss tasted worse than the Washington State loss.
