Bruce Feldman talks WSU, Pac-12

The good news is Bruce Feldman thinks WSU could win seven or eight games in 2014. The bad news is they first have to get through 2013.

I've linked to dozens of Pac-12 and WSU previews over the last few months. Some great, some not so great. but today brings one of the great ones as CBS Sports' Bruce Feldman joined the guys from The Solid Verbal to talk Pac-12.

They covered all 12 teams as well as some 1990s trivia and a few other odd topics. With Feldman's relationship with Mike Leach, he's more tuned into the Cougars than many members of the national media. So what does he think about WSU next season? Well, unfortunately not much, but Feldman does think the Cougars will start contending for seven or eight win seasons as soon as 2014. Here's the WSU blub from The Solid Verbal:

Washington State - Bruce thinks the Cougars are still a year away from winning seven-to-eight games, and this next year could be another ugly one. Mike Leach will probably end up starting four former walk-ons on the offensive line. This not only causes huge problems with the run game, but it's a mystery s to how competent the unit will be protecting the quarterback. Quarterback Connor Halliday needs to learn to take care of the football if they want to sniff five wins.
