The CougCenter Hour, Episode 6: WSU dominates SUU, looks ahead to Battle of the Palouse

The Cougs looked sluggish in the first half against the Thunderbirds but dominated in the final 30 minutes. They'll take on the Vandals for the first time in six years this Saturday in what should be an equally easy walk over of a team in transition.

The Cougs struggled a bit in the first half against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds but once the second half rolled around, thanks in large part to another Damante Horton interception returned for a touchdown, WSU was in control. The Cougars cruised to a victory over their FCS opponent and will enjoy more home cooking again when they face the Idaho Vandals this week.

Although neither coach has acknowledged there will be any bad blood from an issue that arose this spring, there's little doubt some of that will spill over into the game this Saturday. Idaho struggled in their first two games of the year before giving the Northern Illinois Huskies a game of it in the Kibbie Dome last week. We sit down with Troy Warzocha of the Lewiston Tribune to talk about the Vandals struggles but also what led to their performance against the Huskies.
