Sports With Neil is Joining CougCenter

I started at the Stiqayu and now I'm here.

When I joined CougCenter back in 2010, I never thought I'd be one of the contributors for this site. In fact, my first sports article ever had just been published in my high school's newspaper, and I was still trying to grasp the basics of writing for an audience. A lot has changed in the three years since, and well...now I am writing for this website and I am extremely excited for this opportunity.

Hello all, my name is Neil Roberts and I am the newest member of the CougCenter staff. I have been brought in to help cover the non-revenue sports at Washington State University. Around mid-February I contacted Nuss about covering the women's basketball team here on CougCenter, and he suggested that I continue to write some FanPosts so he would have something to go off of when giving me advice on my writing style. A couple days ago Nuss contacted me and asked if I was interested in covering all of the non-revenue sports instead of just women's basketball.

Now that you know what I am going to be writing about on here, let me tell you about myself.  I am the eldest son of two WSU alums and decided to attend Washington State University before I can remember much of anything (according to my mother). I am the Sales Director at the student run internet radio station KUGR.org; also, I do have my own radio show on the station and it is called Sports with Neil. The other thing you need to know is that I have a deep hatred of Comcast for their customer service's handling of the TV blackout brought on by maintenance during game six of the 2002 World Series ... this is a joke ... kinda.

As I said above, I am extremely excited for this opportunity and Go Cougs!
