WSU vs. USC: Postgame interviews reveal a happy bunch of Cougs

Lots of smiling faces in the interview room in the wake of WSU's first victory of the season, a 10-7 defensive struggle over USC.

The big theme in all of these videos? Just how much the Cougars believed they could come down to Los Angeles and beat the Trojans. We knew it was on their minds earlier this week, and they backed up the talk by gutting out a win when the offense was shaky and there were a lot of things seemed to be going against them.

My favorite quote after listening to all of the interviews?

"We were kinda rooting for them to throw it more," Mike Leach said.

Given the results, it's not hard to see why. The defensive line made Cody Kessler and Max Wittek uncomfortable on the rare occasions they did actually drop back to pass, and receivers were well covered when they did have time.

Still, it's a pretty funny quote. On to the interviews!
