Blessed for the opportunity to chase my dreams....

Of course, the NFL Combine is the yearly gathering of draft hopefuls in Indianapolis, Indiana every February. It's essentially a 4 day job interview, with infinitely more shuttle drills, 40 yard dashes, jumping and bench pressing. The players also take meetings with interested teams and take a cruel intelligence test that always seems to leak out if someone scores low.

The combine is a very important event for draft hopefuls, as we witnessed last year with Deone Bucannon's performance. Before the combine a lot of places projected him to go somewhere between the 3rd and 5th rounds. Afterwards, however, his stock skyrocketed and resulted in him going late in the first round to Arizona, where he's been able to make an immediate impact on a playoff team.

As of right now, there don't seem to be a lot of projections for where Mayle will land this spring, but an invite to the combine is a great sign. He'll take the field at Lucas Oil Stadium for the combine on February 17th to start his important job interview. If you just can't wait that long to see him in action, Mayle as also accepted a spot on the roster for the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on January 20th.

Happy New Year!

From all of us here at CougCenter, we hope you have a very happy and safe New Years holiday. It's been a fantastic year for us here and you are a big part of it. Personally, I've been through a lot of changes this year. After graduating I moved down to California and started my adult life in the big scary real world. Being a part of this site and this community has brought a much needed sense of normalcy to all of it.

Thanks for being great and we're looking forward to a kick ass 2015 with you in the passengers seat.
