Wide reciever Zaire Andre is officially a member of WSU's 2014 recruiting class after he faxed in his lefter of intent on Signing Day.

Andre is one of a few wide receiver prospects in this class and figures to be in line for a lot of targets in a year or two. He's a consensus 3-star recruit according to 247Sports and the No. 92 wide receiver in the 2014 recruiting class, according to their rankings. At 6-foot and 170 pounds, Andre is built similar to current WSU wide receiver Gabe Marks. In fact, Andre is a similar player to Marks in a lot of ways and could wind up at the Z receiver position behind Marks and Isiah Myers next year. He appears to have the skillset to play inside receiver as well, although with a few other inside receiver prospects in this class, I would expect Andre to at least start at the Z.

He committed to WSU early in the process and although he drew interest, remained solid throughout. He chose WSU over reported offers from Houston, Nebraska, Nevada and others. He did a little bit of everything in high school, playing quarterback, receiver and returning kicks. No matter what position he played, he showed off some excellent traits. He's shifty with the ball in his hands and while he may not be a burner, he isn't slow either. He's a glider and very smooth, similar to Marks. He might not be as explosive as Marks is, making him a bit of a cross between Marks and Isiah Myers. There are a lot of similarities there, which makes me think he will indeed end up at Z receiver.

If that is the case, there is a very good chance he redshirts next season. Marks and Myers are both established at the position and Kristoff Williams has also played some Z. Myers will graduate, which means Andre could be the favorite to split time with Marks in 2015 before possibly taking over as the starter in 2016.
