The depth on an improving Cougars offensive line got deeper as Andre Dillard has made his commitment to WSU official after faxing in his letter of intent.
Must Reads
Dillard joins a unit that cut their sacks allowed numbers significantly a year after topping the NCAA in letting defenders get to the quarterback. He's pretty familiar with WSU already; his dad played for the Cougs in the 1980s. Dillard is ranked as a 2-star recruit by Scout and Rivals while 247sports gives him a bump to three stars. He held other scholarship offers from Idaho, Portland State and Eastern Washington.
He doesn't join the Cougs with the prototypical size of an offensive lineman at 6-foot-5, 240 pounds but he certainly has a big enough frame to add 30-40 pounds. There's always the possibility Dillard could change positions as well; defensive line would seem to be the best landing spot if he's not on the offensive side of the ball. Either way, expect Dillard to redshirt in an effort to put on some more weight.
