Ernie Kent, WSU's new basketball coach, will begin the task of re-energizing the fan base when he is introduced to the WSU community at a news conference at Beasley Coliseum at 2 p.m. PDT. The event is expected to be streamed here at WSUCougars.com.
Kent was hired as the 18th basketball coach at Washington State on Monday after spending the past four seasons as a television broadcaster. Prior to that, he was the coach at the University of Oregon for 13 years.
Following the news conference at Beasley, which members of the community can attend, Kent will head over to Bohler Gym for a student event put on by the Zzu Cru that will feature free T-shirts and pizza. Kent will be interacting with fans, and it appears he will be drawing on a popular refrain for coaches today:

You can actually ask Kent questions yourself by using the hashtag #TheProcessWAZZU on Twitter. We'll have full coverage later on.
