College football realignment has created a few new wrinkles in recent seasons and that will continue next year with Rutgers and Maryland moving to the Big Ten. The Scarlet Knight, of course, will open the season in Seattle against WSU. The matchup will be the first between the schools and will add to WSU's history against the Big Ten.
Speaking of that history ...
Q1: WSU has played 39 games against Big Ten opponents. What is the Cougars' all-time record against the Big Ten. Hint: there is one tie involved.
Q2: The game against Rutgers will be the eighth time WSU has opened the season against a Big Ten opponent. Name the team and the season of the previous seven.
Q3: WSU has an all-time winning record against four Big Ten teams, who are they?
*Note: All of the questions include games against Big Ten opponents while they were in the Big Ten. WSU played Penn State in 1947 and 1948. Penn State joined the Big Ten in 1990, so neither game factors into the questions.
