If upsets are your thing, the quarterfinals of the CougCenter World Cup of Pullman (and Moscow) Food were not for you. Every high seed advanced out of the first knockout round and now that we're down to four, two restaurants won't be on the top of the podium for the first time in this competition.
As a reminder, we have not reseeded the teams from the previous round and the opponents they have advanced to face are standard in a standard eight team tournament knockout tournament.
Point of parliamentary procedure (yes, AGAIN): this is about your FAVORITE restaurant, not necessarily the best. Whatever the word favorite when it comes to food means to you, roll with it.
Quarterfinals results here, preliminary results here.
Lets get to the voting and oh, by the way, COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS LESS THAN TWO MONTHS AWAY AND OHMYGOD LISTEN TO THIS AND TRY TO NOT GET PUMPED UP!
Semifinal No. 1:
Cougar Country (Quarterfinal No. 1 Winner, 286 votes)
vs.
Sella's (Quarterfinal No. 4 Winner, 267 votes)
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LAWDY this could get difficult. To call these two the favorites before the competition would have been an understatement and now, you have to make a choice. Both restaurants have been Pullman institutions for an awfully long time meaning this battle could not only divide our readers but friend groups, entire dormitories and families. Seriously, you may never speak to your parents again. Choose wisely.
Semifinal No. 2:
The Coug (Quarterfinal No. 3 Winner, 224 votes)
vs.
The Old European (Quarterfinal No. 2 Winner, 204 votes)
It would have been difficult to get two more different restaurants in this semifinal but we've managed to do it. Both can have extremely loyal followers that can mange to be in both groups of super fans simultaneously. It's another case of long time Pullman institutions and you may have to decide which group most of loyalty lies with.
