1. Aloha State recruit - Su'a was recruited to WSU from Kaimuki High School in Hawaii by Paul Wulff and staff. Rivals listed Su'a as a 3-star running back, but he played on both sides of the ball in high school. Apparently, it was known he would play defense upon arriving to WSU. Su'a also held offers from Wyoming and Idaho.
2. True freshman starter - Su'a played in each of WSU's 12 game in 2011. By season's end, he was starting for the Cougs as a true freshman exciting fans about his future. He recorded 22 tackles in his freshman year.
3. Diminished role - Su'a only made two starts in 2012 before he was replaced by Justin Sagote as the Cougs No. 1 WILL linebacker. Su'a still saw the field in every game and finished the season with 34 tackles.
4. Out - Su'a missed the entire 2013 season due to undisclosed reasons.
5. Bounce-back year? - Two years after starting the season as WSU's No. 1 WILL linebacker, Su'a is listed as the No. 3 linebacker for the Cougs behind Tana Pritchard and Jeremiah Allison. With two years of eligibility left, he still has time to bounce back and reestablish himself as a contributor to the Cougar defense.
