About the authors: Zane Murfitt

Thanks to the CougCenter editors, I have the opportunity to introduce myself as a new contributor to this fine community. My name is Zane Murfitt and I am the commenter formerly known as fearthewheat.

I knew WSU was where I needed to go to college driving down Stadium Way on my first visit to Pullman. There was something about it that literally seemed magical, unlike any of the other schools I visited. I just love that place.

The first play of my time at Wazzu was Jerome Harrison going 80 vs Idaho and my last memory of that season was running on to the field at Husky Stadium celebrating an Apple Cup win. I didn't know it then, but that season of ups an downs would end up being the best introduction I could have had to life as a Coug.

My contribution will be via data and interactive visualizations that look at the Cougs and sometimes our opponents -- stuff like this, this and this. I hope to provide some new insights, fresh takes and provide opportunities for the community to explore the data as well.
