Last chance to give to CougCenter's 2014 Make-A-Wish fundraiser

We're less than $1,000 away from topping last year's total. Can you help us get over the hump?

Donating to Make-A-Wish allows for these sorts of once-in-a-lifetime experiences for kids with life-threatening illnesses.

The Make-A-Wish "Walk For Wishes" is on Sunday, which means your opportunity to donate to our fundraiser for that event is coming to a close.

If you've been holding back on donating for whatever reason, now's the time to jump on board. You can go here to donate to our team -- every amount helps! Also remember that many companies match donations to charities. Perhaps yours does?

If this is the first you've heard of this, Make-A-Wish holds a special place in CougCenter's heart, as my family received a wish a year ago because of my son's cancer diagnosis. The hope and joy that it brought Trystian was immeasurable and important to the process of beating leukemia -- a process that still isn't over. But we were so inspired by our experience that we wanted to make sure that all eligible children have the opportunity to experience a wish, so we decided to jump in with fundraising, even as Trystian continues to fight. (He had a chemo infusion this morning, in fact.)

You can read the whole story here. The video from our trip is at the bottom of this (and every other) post.

Thanks for considering it, and Go Cougs!
