Believe it or not, the Cougars have landed a verbal from a former USC commit.

We talked about it earlier this week, and now, according to his official Twitter account, Tae'on Mason has committed to Washington State.

Mason is a 4-star recruit on Rivals and Scout and a 3-star recruit on 247Sports. With offers on the table from USC, UCLA and Notre Dame, Mason signing with the Cougars is a big pick up for a Cougar secondary, with a new defensive coordinator, that could always use a little help.

The major commitment has pushed WSU up the national recruiting rankings. 247Sports puts the Cougars at 31 as of right now, Rivals has them at 29, while Scout puts WSU in the top 25 at the number 23 ranked class in the nation. If you want another look at the impressive talent the Cougars are getting, just watch this:

This is fun. Celebrate now and celebrate on February 4th when the fax machines fire up for signing day and all of this becomes official. We'll have you covered all the way there.
