Hey, suckers! Some of you may know me as @BKRansford on the Twitter machine or from my time at Rivals running WazzuWatch for the last few years, but for those of you who don't know me, I'm Britton K. Ransford and I'm back to typing words about the Washington State Cougars, but this time right here at CougCenter and I couldn't be more excited.

To share a little more about me, I graduated from Washington State in 2012 and immediately took on the task of running, the Washington State site on the and Yahoo! Sports network. For three years, I focused on football and basketball, and mostly recruiting. I then moved on to work for the Mariners as a digital media coordinator and I'm now over at Q13 FOX doing the same stuff for the Seahawks and Sounders.

I grew up in the tiny town of Chelan, Washington where I was a fifth grade spelling bee champion and shortstop for the Peter B's Bar and Grill little league squad, which won four consecutive league championships. There were only four teams. I then moved to East Wenatchee, Washington where I attended prestigious Eastmont High School and played baseball. After deciding my .253 average wouldn't quite translate to Wenatchee Valley College's top notch baseball program, I headed to Pullman and the rest is recent history.

Now, I don't know exactly what I'll be doing over here yet, but there's sure to be a lot of talk about recruiting, because who doesn't want to know where a 17-year-old is going to play college football, as well as baseball, football and basketball team coverage. And there will be opinions, which I'm assuming you'll all completely agree with. Jeff and I will figure that out as we move forward, but I'm excited for this awesome opportunity.
