Washington State presents its second installment of #AllBusiness this evening, defending their UNDEFEATED 1-0 RECORD against the mighty Bengals of Idaho State. The game tips off just when you're getting ready for the bar at 8 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Network Washington
This game, like last week's game, is not being carried on the Pac-12 National Network, so if you have Dish or live outside the state, you'll want to log in to Pac-12.com and stream the game there.
The Cougs head into the game as 19.5 point favorites and KenPom sees it a bit tighter, forecasting tonight as a 82-66 match-up. The Bengals are rated the 334th best team in college basketball, per Pomeroy's laptop, which will clearly help Wazzu's RPI score later this year. If you're hoping for a blowout, consider this: Last year's team in the span of getting tossed by the likes of UC-Santa Barbara, Idaho and Santa Clara, still managed to dispatch Idaho State by 12.
Idaho State is led by newcomers Ethan Telfair (guard) and Ali Faruq-Bey (also a guard). This roster has so much turnover from JC transfers, it's hard to really pin down what they do well yet. Six of its top seven players in minutes were not on the team last season, with the lone exception being Guard Geno Luzcando, who averaged an entire three points per game. The Bengals enter Friel Court 2-0 with two victories over NAIA teams Great Falls and Dickinson State.
So what are your predictions? Will WSU cover? Will Viont'e Daniels miss a shot? Will Valentine Izundu break a backboard? Will Brett Boese get real minutes after being MIA in game 1?
Talk to us in the comment section throughout the game. Go Cougs!
