One could argue Mike Leach's biggest point of emphasis once he got to Washington State was recruiting massive lineman. After all, they're needed for the wide splits he likes to run in the Air Raid. So a late night commitment from the Bay Area's Christian Haangana is sure to be welcome news to Leach and his staff.

Haangana stands 6'6", 345 pounds which is not a misprint. The two-star offensive lineman had scholarship offers from Oregon State and San Jose State and our own Britton Ransford reports Utah, Idaho, UCLA and Alabama are showing some interest.
I really don't care where this kid is rated by the recruiting services. Just take a look at his highlight tape and tell me you aren't excited to watch him get downhill on a smoke screen to Keith Harrington or James Williams.
That kid finishes blocks like I finish pumpkin pie servings at Thanksgiving: completely and violently. I don't think there's a kid in this highlight reel that stood a chance. Watch at 2:05, he swats a defender away like a fly and then gets up field and hits someone who is already being blocked. That's exactly what you want from a lineman. "Oh, I've already destroyed you, lets look for someone else to knock over so hard their cleats will come off."
Most of the blocks in this video are straight ahead so I'm not completely sure how quick he is laterally. My guess is he'll come to WSU and be slotted as a left or right guard, rather than a tackle.
Haangana looks to be another great offensive line pick up for Mike Leach and company. Welcome to the family, Christian. Pancakes are served every morning in the Northside dining hall but it looks like you already dish out enough on your own.
