For the most part, we have odds for the 2015 Apple Cup. While a few Vegas sports books kept Washington State vs. Washington off the board due to Luke Falk's injury status, the consensus is that the Huskies are about a touchdown favorite in the Apple Cup.
To follow the trend, Washington was expected to be about a three-point favorite in the Apple Cup two weeks ago. When Falk was injured on Saturday against Colorado, though, the opening lines for the Apple Cup were delayed. Once they finally showed up, about two days late, most books opened with the Huskies favored by about six.
After a short dip, in which the line was Washington -5/5.5, the line continues to move the Huskies way, again likely fueled by the fact that Falk may very well sit the Apple Cup out. Now, with hours to go before the game, most places have the Huskies favored by about 7.5 or 8.
As a reminder, the Cougs have covered in nine of 11 games, missing on the first game of the season that never happened, and against Wyoming. They've covered every single game on the road, and in each of their last eight games. Take that for what it's worth.
The Apple Cup kicks off at 12:30 p.m. PT, and that's probably about the time we'll get final word on Falk as well. We'll keep an eye on the line throughout the day.
