Cougs land six on AP All-Pac-12 teams, Leach named Coach of the Year

More postseason honors for Mike Leach and Cougs.

Washington State Cougars' Mike Leach has been named the Pac-12 Coach of the Year and Luke Falk, Gabe Marks and Eduardo Middleton earned first team all-conference honors, the Associated Press announced Friday.

Joe Dahl, despite missing a quarter of the season due to injury, was named to the second team offense, adding to his first team selection by the coaches. Darryl Paulo and Shalom Luani landed on the second team defense.

This is the second conference coach of the year honor for Leach, who shared the award with Stanford's David Shaw when the coaches selections were released earlier this month.

Falk and Marks now find themselves on both all-conference first team lists, though Falk shared first team honors with Cal's Jared Goff on the coaches all-conference team.

It's the first selection for Middleton, who did not receive all-conference recognition from the coaches. Paulo has now been named to the second team by the coaches and writers while Luani adds a second team honor to his all-conference honorable mention award.

With Cole Madison and Riley Sorenson previously earning all-conference honorable mention awards, four of the five Washington State offensive linemen have now been honored. In total, the Cougars have had 12 different players earn postseason accolades.
