Cougar NFL hopefuls complete pro day

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Several of Washington State's departing seniors were back on Rogers practice field on Thursday as the football program held its annual pro day for NFL scouts. The event is a chance for players not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine to go through drills and get timed.

Of the three Cougars who attended the combine, only Xavier Cooper participated in pro day. Connor Halliday is still recovering from his injury and Vince Mayle apparently hurt his thumb, according to Cougfan. The two will instead participate in a separate workout later in the spring.

A few participating players talked to WSUCougars.com after the workouts:

Cougfan has more details from the session including how several players performed.
