2015 NFL Draft: Former WSU WR Vince Mayle selected by Cleveland Browns

The record-setting WSU receiver will take his talents to the NFL after being selected in the 4th round.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Vince Mayle will be taking his talents to the Cleveland Browns after being selected in the 4th round of the 2015 NFL Draft, 123rd overall.

The record-setting WSU wide receiver joins his teammate Xavier Cooper, who was selected by the Browns in the third round of the draft on Friday.

Mayle's frame is prototypical for what you want in a big target for the end zone.  Standing 6'3 and nearly 220 pounds during his senior season, to call him a big target would be an understatement.  Add in Mayle's strength and his relatively decent speed, you get a receiver that could be a big game changer for the Browns.

Mayle's senior season at WSU was flat out bonkers. He set school records in receptions (106) and receiving yards (1,483) in addition to eye popping number like being the only receiver in the country to have two 250-yard plus receiving games. Mayle's performance earned him an honorable mention on the Sports Illustrated All-American list and made him a semi-finalist for the Biletnikoff Award. Mayle finished his career just outside the top-ten in receiving yards (2,022) in just two years at WSU.

It was so fun to watch Vince Mayle play the last two years, especially when he did things like this:

Or this:

Oregon Mayle strength n speed

Also, this:

Utah Mayle TD1

But still, everyone's favorite:

Mayle 2nd td

It's the first time in two years an NFL team has called the name of a WSU wide receiver in the draft; Marquess Wilson was selected in the seventh round in 2013.

We'll miss you, Vince. All the best to you in your professional career!
