Apple Cup 2015 scheduled for Black Friday again, game time set

The game time and television information for the annual Apple Cup in 2015 has been set and it will kick off just after noon on the day after Thanksgiving on either Fox or Fox Sports 1.

The 2015 edition of the Apple Cup will kick off from Seattle at 12:30 p.m. PT on Black Friday, November 27, and be featured on Fox, the Pac-12 announced.

The announcement came amidst the television selections for various games throughout the season, including the first 3 weeks of the year and most weekday games. Included in that is WSU's annual matchup with Washington.

After a two-year rotation on the day following Thanksgiving, the Apple Cup returned to Saturday last season in Pullman. This year, however, the game returns to Seattle and returns to Black Friday. The actual kickoff time and network won't be finalized until later.

The Washington teams will share the date with the Oregon teams, which play the Civil War on the same day. OSU and Oregon's matchup will take the network and time that the Apple Cup doesn't take.

The major complaint with Cougar fans and students on the Black Friday Apple Cup in Pullman is the inability for fans to make the trek over the Cascades after Thanksgiving dinner to make the game. That doesn't appear to be an issue with Black Friday games in Seattle. What are your thought on ending your shopping day with a little rivalry football on Montlake?
