With football season right around the corner (33 days, 10 hours, 44 minutes as I write this ... but I'm not counting) ESPN released its 2015 All-Underrated team for the Pac-12, a list that includes two Cougars who have both been on multiple All-Conference lists this offseason.
Both wide receiver Gabe Marks and offensive lineman Joe Dahl have been included on both Phil Steele and Athlon Sports preseason all-conference lists, and the two Cougars are the only two to be on the ESPN Pac-12 blog's preseason all-underrated list, which includes several big names in the conference.
Marks finished his 2013 campaign with 74 catches for 807 yards and 7 touchdowns and was looking to have an even bigger 2014 season before being sidelined and taking a redshirt year. Marks has had an extra year of being in the weight room and training and it will not be a surprise to see him finish the 2015 season leading all Cougar wide receivers again.
Joe Dahl started to really come out last season and has become one of the leaders on the offensive line and is looked at when the offense needs to start something going. With the little recognition that he has received it is only going to continue growing as the season moves on. With a new-ish quarterback in Luke Falk, Dahl will be counted on heavily to protect him and give the offensive line the confidence they will need.
