Cougar volleyball starts 2015 season with hopes of turning program around

The 2015 Cougar volleyball team started their campaign to get to the top of the PAC-12 Monday morning. Will head coach Jen Greeny turn things around after a disappointing 2014 season?

James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

The Cougars volleyball team started their 2015 campaign with practice Monday morning followed by another practice in the afternoon. The Cougars will have two-a-days for the next two weeks before classes start. After August 24th the cougars will go back to having practice once a day.

With the season starting in just a couple weeks the Cougars will travel to two invitationals (Radford, Va., Aug. 28-29 and the Idaho invite Sept. 4-5) to start their season off before returning back home to host another invitational September 11-12. Just under 2 weeks later (Sept. 24) the Cougars will host Washington for the start of conference play.

Head Coach Jen Greeny looks to incorporate the 8 very talented freshman into a roster that is full of players setting records for the Cougs.

The Cougars finished 1-20 in their last 21 games last season after starting off 9-2.
