IT'S FINALLY SEPTEMBER!

With Gameday being just 4 days away there is no doubt the sense of excitement is roaming the Palouse. The athletic department released the weekly game notes for the season opener against Portland State.

It is officially September which to many, including myself, it means it is the start of football season. With just 4 days before kickoff of the 2015 season the Washington State Athletic department released the weekly Game Notes.

One of the most important things that has been on a lot of minds lately is where will this game be played. With all the smoke from the Washington Wildfires there have been a lot of speculation as to whether or not the Cougars will be able to play at home this weekend.

The State was in need of rain and they got it this week clearing out a lot of the smoke that has been trapped in the Pacific Northwest. With more rain in the forecast it looks as if the Cougars will open the season at home, as scheduled.

The most important part about the game notes that were released was the unveiling of the depth chart. For a breakdown of that, check out Jeff's article that has his initial reaction.

The volleyball team wrapped up their weekend in Radford, VA going 2-1 and will be getting ready to go to Moscow this weekend for the Idaho Invitational.

Former women's basketball player Tia Presley signed her first pro contract Monday. Presley will be joining the defending Ligat Ha'al league champions, Maccabi Knot Ashdod next season.

The ingredients for significant improvement are typically found in a football team’s own garden. Players get bigger and stronger, bonds between teammates become more cohesive and coaches become better able to translate their desires into execution during games.

WSU features the classic high powered Mike Leach offense and the classic Mike Leach invisible defense. It hasn't translated to a lot of wins in Pullman - yet. If a new DC can make a difference, the young and talented roster is poised for big things.
