The Pac-12 released the conference and tv schedule for men's basketball yesterday, and what should come as little surprise, you will need Pac-12 network to watch the majority of WSU's games.
Usually I wouldn't find much to complain about in regards to a conference schedule, as much doesn't change from year to year, but this schedule was a bit of a bummer. The Cougs first three conference games are all at home, and during winter break.
The majority of student will miss out on games against USC, UCLA and Washington. The third conference game, against UW will tip off at 12 pm January 9. While students will surely be rolling into Pullman the Saturday before spring semester starts, I doubt many westsiders will have made it to the Palouse by noon.
It's one thing for students to miss three conference games, but for one of those to be against UW does disappoint. It will be broadcasted on Pac-12 network for those of you that won't be able to make it.
The Cougs will play on the Pac-12 networks 22 times throughout the regular season, with 15 of those contests coming in conference play. WSU's home games against Gonzaga (Dec. 8) and California (Jan. 21) will be broadcasted on FOX Sports 1. You can catch the Cougs on ESPNU during the Diamond Head Classic, against California (Feb. 21), and Washington (March 2).
The only Cougar basketball game that doesn't have a plan to be broadcasted is when the Cougs travel to the Cowen Spectrum to take on Idaho on Dec. 10.
The WSU basketball season tips off Nov. 13 against Northern Arizona in Pullman, on, you guessed it, Pac-12 Network.
