Washington State will host California on November 12

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington State Cougars have gotten very used to playing football games at night and will get their first break this weekend against Arizona. They will get right back on track with late games the following week against California. The Pac-12 announced on Monday that the November 12th home game for the Cougars will be played at 7:30 pm. The game will be on ESPN, the fifth straight nationally televised game for the Cougars.

For both Washington State and California night games are nothing new this season as the Cougars have played 5 straight games starting after 6:30 with only one game this season starting before 5:00 pm. The Cougars hosted Idaho at 11:00 am on September 17th.

If you thought that was bad, it gets worse for California. This season the Bears have played 8 games after 7:00 pm with their only exceptions being 3:00 pm and a 6:00 pm kickoffs that were back to back a month ago. Their game against the Cougars will be their fourth straight 7:30 kickoff.

The conference announced on Sunday that the Cougars home game on Saturday November 5th will be played at 1:00 p.m.
