After a month or so earlier this year of all hands abandoning the ship of WSU’s recruiting class, the Cougs have had a good last few weeks, including today. Spanaway, Washington (Lincoln HS) offensive guard Quazzel White announced on his Twitter that he gave his verbal commitment to Wazzu.

White is rated a three star guard and checks in at 6’4”, 300 pounds, a frame that can definitely add a little more weight and fits in perfectly with what Mike Leach wants in offensive linemen. White chose WSU over offers from Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State and Hawai’i among others.

The first thing that comes to mind watching White’s Hudl video is, uh, well ... don’t get in his way.

It’s a bit of an understatement to say this young man finishes blocks but hooooo boy, does he finish his blocks. The first minute of this video is either him absolutely destroying smaller players or running pass rushers 10 some odd yards downfield before driving them into the dirt.

White seems to play with a bit of a mean streak which is a very, very good thing for an offensive linemen in a system where they are frequently downfield on screens and getting to the second level on running plays.

White is the 14th commit in the 2017 class for WSU and the fifth offensive lineman (he also happens to be the shortest ... at 6’4” ... we are a long way from the Wulff days, friends).
