On the day of giving thanks, it seems appropriate to remember what we should be thankful for in terms of WSU. Here are a few of the things I am thankful for:
I am thankful the Apple Cup is for the North championship.
I am thankful that Mike Leach agreed to leave Key West to come to the Palouse.
I am thankful that Gabe Marks de-commited to SMU to come to Pullman and play for Leach.
I am thankful that Luke Falk turned down scholarship offers to walk-on at WSU.
I am thankful that Bill Moos came out of retirement to take over his alma mater’s athletic department.
I am thankful for River Cracraft's terrific Cougar career.
I am thankful that Josh Hawkinson didn’t transfer to a more successful program and we have one more year to watch an All Pac-12 player.
I am thankful that Jen Greeny came back to WSU and rebuilt the volleyball program.
I am thankful that Marty Lees left Oklahoma State to make an impact on our baseball program.
I am thankful that State Senator Michael Baumgartner fights for his alma mater in Olympia and Pullman.
I am thankful for great Cougar moms like Tracy Cracraft and Jill Osur.
I am thankful for great assistant football coaches like Joe Salavea and Clay McGuire.
I am thankful we have a great defensive leader like Alex Grinch.
I am thankful we have a great Cougar ambassador in Jack Thompson.
I am thankful for The Coug, Valhalla and Stubblefield’s.
I am thankful for the great tailgating scene.
I am thankful for WSU’s strong Greek system.
I am thankful for the Super Basket at Cougar Country.
I am thankful for every minute I have been able to spend in Pullman.
Well that’s my list, how about yours.
