After all the buildup, it's finally here. Washington State and Washington take the field for the 109th Apple Cup, and this time the stakes are through the roof. You know the setup by now: The winner of the 2016 Apple Cup will play for the Pac-12 championship next week. The Cougars and Huskies separated themselves from the field back in October, and haven't looked back since.
The only stumbles for each team so far have been recent: Washington, first, dropped a game to a very USC team and Washington State fell to Colorado in Boulder last week. Each team has one loss in conference play, and the Huskies have one loss overall.
This is the type of rivalry game you dream of. The chance to end a rival's season, and extend your own season to a title game and play for a shot at the Rose Bowl. After all the bad seasons, all the bad, recent Apple Cups, here we are.
This is your game thread. Come talk out that nervous energy, and follow the game, here.
