Cody O’Connell didn’t make the All-Pac-12 first or second team, but that hasn’t stopped him from raking up All-American honors from national publications. So far, he’s at six and counting. The Associated Press hasn’t named it’s 2016 All-American team, but O’Connell figures to at least be under consideration. That would put him in a very select group of Cougars to receive that honor.
Let’s see how well you remember some of the previous WSU AP All-Americans. For the sake of simplicity, all of the questions are only going back to 1980. While some of you may remember the great Glenn "Turk" Edwards in 1930, were going to peg the questions to recent generations.
Q1: Who are the two WSU offensive lineman to be named to the AP All-American team?
Q2: Who was the last WSU player to receive AP All-American honors?
Q3: Name the five positions WSU has had an AP All-American. We’re lumping position into groups, so defensive end and defensive tackle would just be defensive line.
